RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES

Electricity generated from renewable energy sources is electricity generated in power plants exclusively using renewable energy sources and the portion of the electricity generated from renewable energy sources in electricity and heat cogeneration facilities, not including the electricity generated from water in pump storage power plants, which was previously pumped into the storage reservoir.

Power plants that use renewable energy sources to generate electricity are the following:

  1. hydropower plants,
  2. wind power plants,
  3. photovoltaic power plants,
  4. biomass power plants,
  5. biogas power plants and
  6. geothermal power plants.
